Pastor Mike Miller accepted Christ at the age of 5 years old at Richland Baotist Church in East Peoria, Illinois. At the age of 8, he made a public declaration of his faith through baptism. At the age of 16 he declared his calling to ministry at Southside Baptist Church in Peoria, Illinois, where he was licensed for the ministry. He went on to attend Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri. He pastored his first church while attending college. His first church was Finey Baptist Church (Deepwater, Missouri).
After graduating from college, Mike moved to Houston, Texas where he served at Kentshire Baptist Church. At Kentshire he taught in the Christian School and served as Bus and Children’s Minister. He was ordained to the Gospel ministry by Kentshire Baptist Church. While in Houston he became pastor of Port Houston Baptist Church where he met and married the love of his life, Tricia (Barrett) Miller. They have three grown children – Elizabeth, Kathryn, and Michael E.
He has pastored and served churches in Illinois, Missouri, Texas, and Iowa. He has served as pastor of Northcrest Calvary Baptist Church for almost 2 years. He has been joined by his daughter (Katt) and son-in-law (Greg Johnston) at Northcrest. Greg and Katt Johnston have provided Mike and Tricia with two grandchildren – Cecily (5 years) and Silas (6 months). Together they seek to see what God will do as they surrender to His calling.
